Uncle Bob's Pizza by Erik Hagen

Recently completed out at Woodland Springs Retail on McMillan at Locust Grove in Meridian, Uncle Bob’s Pizza is one of our latest restaurant concept design projects. ‘Uncle’ Bob & his son Ryan were awesome to work with. Real hands-on and knew what they wanted. And boy, did we deliver! Just be careful looking at their website and Instagram posts, because you’ll soon be heading out there for some Pizza & Beer!

Uncle Bob’s Pizza started out as a dream and a need. Uncle Bob and his son, Ryan, are huge sports fans that appreciate a great establishment where people can gather and feel like they are at home. After seeing a need in Meridian for something like that, they teamed up to build and open UB’s. They put their blood, sweat, and tears into what UB’s has become.

Giving Back - Boise Rescue Mission Sonrise Manor by Erik Hagen

We are proud to donate our time and services to helping the Boise Rescue Mission on converting the old Heritage Assisted Living Center at 1777 S Curtis Rd in Boise into a new multi-generational transitional living community. The renovated facility will be combining rooms into family quarters, completely upgrading the kitchen and food service facilities, adding an additional 60 family living units for those in need in Boise.

“For many people, the Transitional Living Program provides a supportive place to live while working toward their own safe and stable housing situation. Sometimes they need to establish a work history, develop a resume, earn money to pay off debts, or clean up their credit history. Whatever they might need, the Transitional Living Program provides the environment to help those people accomplish their goals“

~Rev. Bill Roscoe

We are happy to be partnering with Engineering Consultants, EKC Construction and BSR Food Service Design on this pro-bono project. More information can be found at BoiseRM.org.

Congratulations Morgan! by Erik Hagen

After a year of working at Erik Hagen Architecture and going to Graduate School at the University of Idaho, we are proud to announce that employee #2, Morgan Monson has successfully completed her Masters of Architecture degree from the U of I.

“Our world is in a constant state of flow, channeling weather, people, nature, and energy. However, the current discourse of architecture continues to be focused on comfort and stability, allowing for an environmentally detached enclosed built world. This thesis focuses on finding a response to the way we build, treating 'flow' (specifically in people and nature) as more than an obstacle or background; to design with it. The following project will study certain aspects of the experience of moving through a building and within the landscape of the city and its natural elements. The architecture will become a type of narrative, certain systems overlapping or flowing to lead occupants on experiential journeys.”

Abstract, Morgan Monson May 2022

Here are some of the artful snippets form her Graduate Thesis project: The Ceaseless Discourse of Architecture & Flow. A case study of public performing art and community spaces and how life and humanity flow through and around the built environment.

Picking the prime location for her project at River Street between 8th & 9th along the Greenbelt, Morgan carefully integrated her project respectfully with the existing Anne Frank Memorial and The Cabin.

Congratulations Morgan!

Bringing the Ocean to the Mountains by Erik Hagen

Oashan Shrestha visiting one of his favorite Calatrava Buildings in NYC

Please join us in welcoming Oashan (sounds like Ocean) Shrestha into the fold. Oashan joins us from Nepal via the University of Idaho Graduate of Architecture program.

Market Village - M.Arch Senior Project

After getting his Bachelors of Architecture from the Nepal Engineering College in Bhaktapur in 2015, Oashan practiced architecture in Nepal for 4 years before coming to Moscow, Idaho to get his Masters. Along with some amazing food, Oashan also brings a great talent for 3D graphic visualizations. He’s already put it to great use on a number of our projects.

Nepalese Resort Village - B.Arch 3rd Year

Oashan is extremely interested in public spaces and how to positively influence individual experiences thereof. He takes this personalized approach into each project along with vernacular influences for a cohesive and thoughtful design.

National Pulse Memorial, Orlando FL - M.Arch Vertical Studio

We’re so excited to have Oashan onboard and he has already proven to be an integral part of our cohesive team.
